ABOUT EXAMINATIONS FOR EXCUSED ABSENCES IN THE SPRING SEMESTER OF THE 2025–2026 ACADEMIC YEAR
Article 22, Paragraph 9 of our University’s Associate and Bachelor’s Degree Education, Teaching, and Examination Regulations states: “A make-up exam is an exam administered for students who are unable to take a midterm exam due to valid and legitimate reasons accepted by the relevant unit’s administrative board. Students in this situation may exercise their midterm exam rights within the semester, provided they apply within five academic days following the end of their excuse, and the exam will be held on the date, at the location, and at the time determined by the relevant unit. No second make-up exam will be administered." In accordance with this provision, you must submit the make-up exam application form attached hereto to Department Secretary Melisa DOĞAN in person within the timeframe specified in the relevant regulation.
Note: Pursuant to Article 7(c) of our University’s Procedures and Principles Regarding Valid and Justified Reasons, “A student who cannot take the midterm exam(s) at the date and time determined by the unit’s administrative board must document and present at least one of the reasons listed below to be considered excused. “Obtaining a medical leave certificate due to any health issue (a certificate of at least 3 days issued by public or private healthcare institutions)”—in accordance with this provision, the medical leave certificate must be for at least 3 days to be considered valid.
